Optech ILRIS 3D-HD is a terrestrial 3D laser scanner manufactured by the company Optech Incorporated. The laser scanner, which operates using the time-of-flight measurement method, scans objects in a range from 3m (118.1 in) to 1800m (70866.1 in) in a field of view of 40° x 40°. Optech ILRIS 3D-HD achieves a maximum measuring speed of 10000 points/second. The scanner can be operated in "High Precision" mode or in "Rapid Survey" mode. The 3D laser scanner is equipped with a built-in 3.1-megapixel digital camera for colored scans and an USB port for the exchange of scan data. The scanner is controlled via a Pocket PC. Optech ILRIS 3D-HD can be powered by means of a cable connection. The internal batteries allow a duration of approx. 5 hours.
