Polaris 1.1 is on the market!

The measuring system manufacturer Teledyne Optech has launched the Polaris 1.1 - the biggest innovation since the introduction of the Polaris laser scanner in 2017.

New features of this new version of the long-range laser scanner include:

  • a mobile surveying workflow,
  • an external cameraprocessing,
  • a licensing system,
  • numerous bug fixes as well as
  • performance improvements.

Polaris 1.1 - Release Highlights

The new version includes updates to all of the Polaris software, including ATLAScan, the on-board UI, the firmware and SCADA. The updates support the following main features:

ATLAScan Rendering Engine

ATLAScan's all-new rendering engine is faster and offers better quality results.

External Camera Workflow

ATLAScan now lets you automatically import images from an external camera to be associated with the lidar survey.

Improved Mobile Experience

Operators can now collect a Polaris Mobile survey, monitor it in real time, and process the data.

Onboard License System

You can now license any features on the Polaris system with either a time-based or perpetual license.

Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements

Teledyne Optech has made over 100 bug fixes, stability enhancements, and polish improvements in this release.
