New functions
GUI Update
Customise Origins more than ever before. Experience Origins in a completely new look and feel by customising window sizes and positions and arranging them according to your preferences.
New licence manager
Manage all your PointCab licences conveniently in one place. The new licence manager offers an easy way to manage all licences.
New tool menu
All options for importing elements and preparing Nebula files can now be found under "Tools".
New Vectorizer tool for rectangles
Create rectangular vector lines with one click for a faster workflow.
New way to export clusters
Select clusters and simply export them as separate projects.
New 2D + Z transformation method
Minimise the risk of errors when selecting identical 3D points with this new transformation method. The new 2D+Z transformation method has been developed for projects that require rotation around the Z axis and translation in all three dimensions (XYZ). It ensures precise transformation while maintaining the perpendicularity of the object. The verticality is maintained through the registration process and is derived from the inclination measurement data.
General improvements
- The appearance of the colour sheets has been improved to enable a clearer workflow.
- Renaming scans and clusters has been simplified.
- Scan positions can be shown or hidden in the top view by clusters.
- Ladybug, Matterport and Viametris panoramas can now be imported.
- Scan names can be shown or hidden in the quality matrix.
- The language settings have been moved to the settings menu for easier access.
Further updates
- Origins automatically checks for the latest FARO API and suggests an update.
- Riegl SDK update: PointCab Origins 4.2 now supports all Riscan datasets.
- Extended data formats enable the import and visualisation of trajectory files from mobile mapping systems.
Bug Fixes
- .e57 files can now be imported from Leica.
- A problem with the merging scale has been fixed.
- A problem with the context menu for aeroplanes has been fixed.
