The Trimble TX8 Scanner is a 3D laser scanner manufactured by the company Trimble Navigation Limited. It is characterized by a maximum measuring speed of 1 million points/second and a field of view of 360° (horizontal) x 317° (vertical). The time-of-flight scanner allows scanning in a range of 0.6m (23.62 in) to 120m (4,724.41 in). If required, the range can be extended with an upgrade to 340m (13,385.2 in). The Trimble TX8 is characterized by laser class 1. The 3D laser scanner is operated by means of a touch screen. The scanner can be powered by an external power source or by means of an internal battery which provides a duration of at least 2 hours.
