Leica HDS7000 is a 3D laser scanner from the company Leica Geosystems. The scanner provides a high measuring speed of up to 1.016.727 points/second at a range of maximum 187m (7362 in) and a wide field of view of 360° (horizontal) x 320° (vertical). The seven preferences for the scan resolution are the special feature of Leica HDS7000. Dual-axis compensator and laser plummet (laser class 2) are components of the measuring instrument. In combination with an external digital camera, colored scans can be created besides. Due to the excellent design, the scan system is protected from dust and humidity and, thus, allows the easy operation at almost all places. The operation of Leica HDS7000 is optionally effected by means of the integrated touch screen, a laptop, a tablet PC, a smart phone or a PDA. Leica HDS7000 is equipped with an integrated 64 GB flash drive and two external 32 GB USB flash drives. The internal lithium ion batteries allow a duration of 2.5 hours at least.
