I'm looking for tips and tricks in the field of laser scanning.
I want to scan a face. But the façade can only be scanned from a bridge because a busy road is in front of it.
Can I position the reference spheres in a distance of approx. 5m to 8m on the bridge?
The facade is about 12m to 20m away.

Hi Gordi,
It is always better to have some target marks near the object. The ratio scanner - reference spheres and scanner – object should definitely be not too large.
It is also very important that not all target marks are in line. This may happen on the bridge. The resulting spatial section is not very clear.
