At the moment, I have a request for surveying a facade. I could realize this job by means of a 3D laser scanner. Are there any experiences for surveying a façade by means of a laser scanner? What is about shadowing? What should I keep in mind? Is it difficult to analyze the point cloud resulting from the façade measurement? Is laser scanning a real alternative to the traditional measurement methods?
I would be glad about answers.
