Hey,
you need a special USB flash drive from AVM since only one driver is on the scanner. Other flash drives don't work.

that's true. You can get the USB flash drive from FARO. I think it would be difficult to get the flash drive in accessories trade. The maximum of only 100 mbit connection speed is possible. You definitely need the correct driver so that the Photon identifies the flash drive. FARO's customer support should have the specifications.
Afterwards, you should set up the connection correspondent to the user manual for WLAN connection.
