The ranging pole and the ranging pole strut are a cost-effective alternative to the prism pole and enable a raised and thus well visible positioning of a reference sphere or a target plate. The bicolored paint of the ranging pole allows a good visibility of the ranging pole with the reference sphere even in vast industrial buildings or outdoor areas which are rich in vegetation. The reference sphere's magnet base can be attached easily to the metal disc of the ranging pole.
