Import PointCab ortho photos in ArchiCAD
Laser scanning data (point clouds) analyzed in PointCab can be used for the automated generation of ortho photos. In this tutorial, you learn how to import the ortho photos in GRAPHISOFT’s software solution ArchiCAD. For that purpose, the ortho photos have to be saved as a DXF file in PointCab.
Import the DXF file (Attach Xref):
- Start ArchiCAD.
- Choose File -> External Content -> Attach Xref.
- Choose the DXF file created in PointCab and store it on the drawing.

Aluminum Telescope Tripod
Laserscanning Europe CEO Eike Thiele presents the aluminum tripod.
The advantages of the tripod are:
- retractable rubber feet for stability indoors and outdoors
- stability due to safety bolts and extendable aluminum feet

- integrated spirit level for basic adjustments
