RIEGL VZ-1000

RIEGL VZ-1000 is a 3D laser scanner from the company RIEGL Laser Measurement Systems GmbH. It allows scanning in a range of up to 1400m (55118.1 in) and is characterized by a maximum measuring speed of 122.000 points/second. As its predecessor, the RIEGL VZ-1000 has a maximum field of view of 100° (vertical) x 360° (horizontal). The operation is made directly at the scanner or via LAN or WLAN at a PC or laptop. During stand-alone operation, the point clouds captured by the scanner are saved to the internal hard disk. Due to the USB port, data can be saved to external peripheral devices, too. Furthermore, an external digital camera can be attached to the scanner in order to create color photos. The RIEGL VZ-1000 can be operated by means of an external power supply or the optional NiMH batteries.
