Since I hear something different each day, I ask if someone can tell me about the analysis of point clouds . All people say different things! The statements include:

Die Frage nach den Auswertezeiten kann man nicht pauschal beantworten.
Da die Scanner immer schneller werden, wird der Faktor der Auswertezeit auch größer. Zusätzlich besteht das Problem, wie definiert man einen Aufnahmetag? 8, 10 oder 12 Stunden, You have often set-up times and intermissions a day; thus, the real net scan time or the number of scans is more important for a calculation. Moreover, it depends how precisely you analyze the laser scans.
Coefficient 4 - 5 for modeling complex strcutures is absolutely realistic. Coefficient 10 should be a very difficult industrial plant with many small, complex objects. In this case, your customer would be willing to pay this effort.
But indeed, there are very easy analyses of laser scanner data, such as video animations, automatically generated views and sections (e.g. PointCab) or meshes. These results are generated very quickly.
