New release: PointCab version 3.7 R4

Our partner PointCab has published a new release of version 3.7. The revision update R4 includes new functions, a new translation and minor bug fixes.

What optimizations does PointCab 3.7 R4 provide?

Converting of a vector line to a section plane

The new function allows you to convert a vector line into a section plane. This is very helpful, for example, if a section plane is to run exactly along a wall.

 

 

 

Sphere detection in unordered point clouds

As of revision R4, PointCab supports the detection of reference spheres of different sizes in unordered point clouds such as from mobile laser scanners like GeoSLAs ZEB-Revo.

 

 

 

Presetting of general layer definition

From now on, you can predefine the settings for layers for all future projects. For example, you can set a layer exclusively for vectors of doors or windows.
